WCB Hosts Food Council Film Screening & Discussion

Please join us for a film screening and discussion on Tuesday, March 25, at 6:30pm, at the Colonial Theater, located at 163 High St., Belfast. The night will begin with a screening of ‘Feeding Tomorrow’: Up against a broken food system, a brave group of visionary leaders in agriculture, healthcare, and education work to build a more just, regenerative, and resilient system in their local communities.

The screening of 'Feeding Tomorrow' is a dual not-for-profit fundraiser coming from leadership of both Colonial Theatre and Waldo County Bounty. Admission is available on a sliding scale, from $9 – $15, and advanced tickets are available via the Colonial Theater website (no service fees added). Tickets are also available at the door the day of the event.

Afterward, Waldo County Bounty will host a discussion on the topic of creating the Waldo County Food Council, followed by a Q&A session. Waldo County Bounty recently joined the Maine Network of Community Food Councils with the goal of forming the Waldo County Food Council to improve access to locally grown food. Achieving this vision will require collaboration and coordination with our amazing network of organizations, volunteers, business partners, donors, and friends.

Please join us to learn more about the role food councils play in their communities and how you can participate. Moving forward, Waldo County Bounty will share food council updates via our newsletter and Facebook and Instagram pages.
